Freeman-McFarlin Pottery Large Ceramic Baby Monkey signed Rutledge

The Freeman McFarlin Pottery factory of El Monte California produced quite a few animal
figures, and this has to be one of my favorites, a baby monkey wearing a diaper. What is
it that the figure has the ability to draw you into it? Perhaps the sad plaintive look in it's
eyes. Or perhaps that it seems much more than just a ceramic piece.
It stands app. 9" high is 8.5" across at its elbows and is app. 5.5" from the front to the
back of the piece.
It is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Marked on the base Rutledge, for the
artist's name, The numbers 866 and U.S.A. It's a great piece.
