Vintage Hippo Soap / Multi-Use Holder Blue Red Drip Glaze California Pottery MCM

Description

Vintage ceramic open mouth hippo with an awesome navy blue and red drip glaze circa 1960's or 70's.
My photos have reflections that make it look like there is a different color on the bottom half but it is all one color way.
Made by either Freeman McFarlin or Vohann, both California potteries.
It was originally designed to hold soap and toothbrushes (I think) but be aware that fatter handled toothbrushes don't fit in the holes (holes are 3/8").
It's also perfect for holding things like a sticky note pad, smart phone or business cards, and pens, etc.
Measures 8" long, 6" high and 3.5" deep.
